Community Involvement

Walk for Water

Thurmond Kirchner & Timbes sponsored the Water Mission’s annual “Walk for Water” event at Riverfront Park in North Charleston.

The Water Mission believes that the global water crisis can be solved and they take a comprehensive approach to combating the crisis with water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) solutions. They design customized solutions for each community they serve and they partner with the recipients throughout the process. A successful project results in more time for work and education, improved health, and increased productivity for the community.

Uncle Sam Jam Sponsor

We love to partner with Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission. They feature over 11,000 acres of property and includes four regional parks, three beach parks, four seasonally-lifeguarded beach areas, three dog parks, two landmark fishing piers, three waterparks, a historic plantation site, 19 boat landings, a skate park, a climbing wall, a challenge course, an interpretive center, an equestrian center, vacation cottages, a campground, a marina, as well as wedding, meeting, and event facilities. The park system also offers a wide variety of recreational services – festivals, camps, classes, programs, and volunteer opportunities. On 4th of July we sponsored the Uncle Sam Jam. Attendees enjoyed the cool harbor breeze as they danced to live beach music at the perfect venue for celebrating our independence – the Mount Pleasant Pier! At the foot of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, stretching 1250 feet out into Charleston Harbor, the scenic Mount Pleasant Pier was the perfect spot to watch Charleston’s best fireworks displays! The event was SOLD OUT.

Hops & Hogs

Hops & Hogs is put on by the Aiken Downtown Development Association. The ADDA is an organization made up of members and volunteers who all work toward a common goal: to improve the economic vitality, enhance the beauty and preserve the historical inheritance of downtown Aiken.  TKT is a proud member of ADDA and cherishes opportunities to build community relationships in our vibrant downtown.

There were food trucks, barbecue vendors, craft breweries and snow cones from Pelicans Snoballs, and live music. The event was free admission and family and dog-friendly.
