Walk for WaterThurmond Kirchner & Timbes sponsored the Water Mission’s annual “Walk for Water” event at Riverfront Park in North Charleston. The Water Mission believes that the global water crisis can be solved and they take a comprehensive approach to combating the crisis with water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) solutions. They design customized solutions for each community they serve and they partner with the recipients throughout the process. A successful project results in more time for work and education, improved health, and increased productivity for the community.

2017 Aiken Bluegrass FestivalThurmond Kirchner & Timbes Law firm was a proud sponsor of the 2017 Aiken Bluegrass Festival. Now in its 13th year, the Aiken Bluegrass Festival has grown to become nationally recognized for its unique collaborations between top Bluegrass artists live on stage. Since it’s beginning, the Aiken Bluegrass Festival has donated all the proceeds to Great Oak Therapeutic Riding Center. In the past decade nearly $250,000 dollars have been donated. Besides music, the event offered unique craft and food vendors, on-site camping, kid’s activities and drink concessions featuring products from New Belgium Brewing and Carolina Moon Distillery.

Aiken Child Advocacy Center FundraiserThurmond Kirchner and Timbes Law Firm sponsored a fundraiser for the Child Advocacy Center of Aiken County. Television personality, criminal investigator and victim rights advocate, John Walsh was the speaker for a dinner. Walsh is the former host of “America’s Most Wanted,” which aired on the Fox television network for more than 20 years. The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of Aiken County, founded in 2005, provides a safe local environment and supportive services which promote healing to abused children and their families through intervention, treatment and prevention.

SC Bar Young Lawyers Division Golf TournamentThurmond Kirchner & Timbes Law Firm was a proud sponsor of the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division first annual Birdies for Belief Golf Tournament. The tournament raised $13,000 for Make-A-Wish South Carolina! The YLD coordinates various programs across the state designed to serve the public, advance the legal profession, or both. The YLD provides a great opportunity for young lawyers to network with other young lawyers while fulfilling their public service goals.

Uncle Sam Jam SponsorWe love to partner with Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission. They feature over 11,000 acres of property and includes four regional parks, three beach parks, four seasonally-lifeguarded beach areas, three dog parks, two landmark fishing piers, three waterparks, a historic plantation site, 19 boat landings, a skate park, a climbing wall, a challenge course, an interpretive center, an equestrian center, vacation cottages, a campground, a marina, as well as wedding, meeting, and event facilities. The park system also offers a wide variety of recreational services – festivals, camps, classes, programs, and volunteer opportunities. On 4th of July we sponsored the Uncle Sam Jam. Attendees enjoyed the cool harbor breeze as they danced to live beach music at the perfect venue for celebrating our independence – the Mount Pleasant Pier! Hops & HogsHops & Hogs is put on by the Aiken Downtown Development Association. The ADDA is an organization made up of members and volunteers who all work toward a common goal: to improve the economic vitality, enhance the beauty and preserve the historical inheritance of downtown Aiken. TKT is a proud member of ADDA and cherishes opportunities to build community relationships in our vibrant downtown. There were food trucks, barbecue vendors, craft breweries and snow cones from Pelicans Snoballs, and live music. The event was free admission and family and dog-friendly.
