11th Annual Oyster Roast

Oyster roasts have long been a Lowcountry tradition. They date back to the middle of the 20th Century. Charleston’s oyster season includes all months that have an “R” in it, running from September to April. Over these months, the water temperature drops and the oyster beds are ripe for picking. There’s nothing like an oyster roast in the winter to warm you up.

Thurmond Kirchner & Timbes hosted our annual oyster roast this past weekend at Bulow Plantation Party Barn. Thank you to everyone that came out and made it a huge success! Here are some photos taken by the talented, Clifford Pate Photography. For more photos from our event, visit our Facebook page.
