A Lowcountry tradition, Charleston’s oyster season includes all months that have an “R” in it, from September to April. The water temperature drops during these months and the oyster beds are ripe for picking. During the cooler months there is nothing like an oyster roast to warm you up.
On Saturday, February 2, Thurmond Kirchner and Timbes hosted their 12th annual oyster roast at Bulow Plantation Party Barn. Thank you to all who attended from near and far and made it a wonderful time.
